From downtown Bangkok, the most convenient way is to take the sky train (BTS) to Kasetsart University Station (Sukhumvit Line: N13). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bangkok has two airports \u2013 <strong>Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)<\/strong> and<strong> Don Mueang Airport (DMK)<\/strong>. Kasetsart University is situated approximately 40 kilometers away from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and 18 kilometers away from Don Muang Airport.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-rowlayout alignnone\"><div id=\"kt-layout-id_29524f-f0\" class=\"kt-row-layout-inner kt-layout-id_29524f-f0\"><div class=\"kt-row-column-wrap kt-has-1-columns kt-gutter-default kt-v-gutter-default kt-row-valign-top kt-row-layout-equal kt-tab-layout-inherit kt-m-colapse-left-to-right kt-mobile-layout-row\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-column inner-column-1 kadence-column_d57e39-22\"><div class=\"kt-inside-inner-col\">\n<h2 class=\"-primary wp-block-heading\"><strong>From Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Kasetsart University<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon your arrival in Bangkok at Suvarnabhumi Airport (pronounced \u201cSou-wan-na-poom\u201d), after you have passed through immigration\/passport control and baggage retrieval, you have the option of taking either a taxi or the Airport Rail Link. Kasetsart University is located about 40km from the airport and taking a taxi along the expressway is your fastest and most convenient option.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"399\" height=\"299\" src=\"https:\/\/en.eng.ku.ac.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/transportation-from-airports-05.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-294\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.eng.ku.ac.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/transportation-from-airports-05.jpg 399w, https:\/\/en.eng.ku.ac.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/transportation-from-airports-05-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><u>Metered Taxi<\/u><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Location: First floor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a ticket from the taxi queue and proceed to your taxi. The fare is charged according to the distance traveled, plus a surcharge of 50 Baht. If you use the expressway, you have to pay for the express toll fee. Your total journey from the airport to the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, will cost between 300 and 400 baht, depending on the traffic conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: In the case that a taxi driver refuses to turn on his meter and insists on a fixed fare, we advise you to get out immediately and note down his license plate. You can report him to the passenger hotline at phone no.1584. It is compulsory for a taxi driver to turn on his meter during all passenger trips within the Bangkok metropolitan area. A taxi driver\u2019s refusal to comply will result in him being fined and suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Airport Rail Link City Line<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Location: Basement floor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Airport Rail link operates daily from 06:00 to 24:00, with commuter City Line trains departing every 10 minutes during peak hours (06:00-09:00 and 16:00-20:00) and 15 minutes off peak and weekends. The City Line stops at 7 stations along the way and costs 45 Baht. Take a  BTS Train on &#8220;Sukhumvit Line&#8221; (the light green line on the BTS map) from Phaya Thai station (N2) to Kasetsart University station (N13), the journey takes approximately 20 minutes and the fare is 37 Baht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b><span class=\"has-inline-color has-kb-palette-2-color\">From Kasetsart University BTS station to the Faculty of Engineering<\/span><\/b>, there are several options you may take, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"-margin wp-block-list\"><li>Take the campus Shuttle Bus Service Route <strong>No. 1<\/strong> (free of charge).<\/li><li>Take a motorcycle taxi (cost around 20-30 Baht per trip). The motorcycle taxi queue (you will spot the group of riders wearing brightly coloured vests) can be found near the BTS station.<\/li><li>If you are traveling in a group or carry large luggage bags, we suggest taking a metered taxi. The fare from Kasetsart University BTS station to the Faculty of Engineering is approximately 40-50 Baht.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><u>Airport Bus<\/u><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The airport bus departs from the Suvarnabhumi Public Transportation Center. It drives north along Vibhavadi Road and passes Kasetsart University bus stop. The bus fare is 34 Baht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Kasetsart University bus stop, proceed to the nearest university gate, which is Vibhavadi Gate. Subsequently, you may take the campus Shuttle Bus Service Route No. 1 (free of charge) or a motorcycle taxi (cost around 20-30 Baht per trip). The ticket price to Bangkhen station is 25 Baht and the journey takes approximately 10 minutes to arrive. During your journey, listen carefully for the station announcement or watch for &#8220;Bang Khen&#8221; signage.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Disembark at Bang Khen Station (Google map link: https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/9oP4x3na8AMemnbw8) and choose either Exit 7 or 8, depending on your specific destination within Kasetsart University. Exit 7 leads to the Agricultural Museum and Culture Building, while Exit 8 directs you to the Vibhavadi Rangsit Gate.<\/li><li><strong style=\"background-color: transparent; color: initial;\">Additional Information:<\/strong><\/li><li>\u2022 The Red Line SRT train operates daily from 05:30 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight). One ride generally costs 100 to 200 Baht on the meter, depending on the traffic conditions plus 50 Baht airport surcharge on top of the fare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019re out of baggage claim and through customs, follow the \u2018Taxi\u2019 signs on that floor towards the metered taxi stand. These taxis are regulated by the airport and they must use the meter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: Do not go with any companies or people who may offer you a taxi while you are walking towards the metered taxi stand. This is often a scam and much more expensive than the metered taxis!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><u>Airport Bus<\/u><\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Airport Bus is the cheapest option from Don Muang Airport to Kasetsart University. The current Bangkok A1 Bus fare is 30 THB per person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bus operates daily,&nbsp;from 6:15 to 24:00 and leaves every 5 minutes. The bus stop is just outside once you exit customs. Get off at the Kasetsart University bus stop. The journey should take about 20-30 minutes. The ticket can be bought on board.
