December 6, 2022 – Associate Professor Dr. Peerayuth Charnsethikul, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University presided over the opening of the “IWA Biofilms 2022 International Academic Conference”. This event was hosted by the Department of Environmental Engineering between 6 and 8 December 2022 at Phuket Graceland Hotel Resort and Spa, Phuket Province.

At this international conference, academics from 21 nations, including England, the United States, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Singapore, Luxembourg, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Malaysia, India, and others, participated in 74 lectures and 19 discussions \u2013 a total of 93 topics. These academics were experts in a variety of fields, including environmental engineering, civil engineering, biotechnology, and environmental science. A large number of students were also in attendance and presented their work, comprising 4 topics from master’s degree students and PhD students from Chulalongkorn University, Khon Kaen University as well as our faculty\u2019s Department of Environmental Engineering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IWA Biofilms 2022 International Academic Conference is the Faculty’s first international academic conference held on-site after the reopening of the country now that the COVID-19 emergency has abated, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pongsak Noophan, a lecturer at the Department of Environmental Engineering, as the local chair of the organizing committee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
