On 17 March, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, KU, together with the Ecam Lasalle Engineering School, France, and the Sirindhorn Prosthetics School of Mahidol University, jointly organized a workshop on the design of Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO) to help control the structure of the foot and ankle to be in the correct position for people with muscle weaknesses in the lower leg, leg spasticity, as well as those who suffer from a foot drop condition. Students from all three institutions, in total 16 students, participated in the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students who participated in the workshop will be able to use their engineering knowledge, including their design skills in various types of AFO equipment, design their own equipment and create drawings using computer programs such as Solidworks, as well as test their results using 3D printers. The group presented their work in the contest that was staged on 24 March, 2023.<\/p>\n
