Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siripon Anantaworasakul, Vice Dean for Research and Innovation, chaired the opening
session of the academic seminar on “Mechanical Engineering Research Asian Consortium (MERAC
2023).” The event was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering,
Kasetsart University (KU), in collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering
Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) in Malaysia; the Department of
Mechanical Engineering, Manipal University of Jaipur in India (online); and the Department of
Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering, Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta in Indonesia
(online).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar, which took place from November 15 to 17, 2023 at the Department of Mechanical
Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, KU, brought together administrators and faculty members from the
participating universities. The purpose of the event was to explore avenues for collaboration among
universities in the ASEAN region, fostering joint efforts in academia, research, student and staff
exchange, as well as various resources related to international education and research.<\/p>\n
