The Department of Civil Engineering at Kasetsart University successfully organized a joint student workshop in collaboration with the Department of Transportation Systems Engineering at Nihon University, Japan. The workshop, titled “Investigating Driving Behavior near Speed Humps”, was held from August 19 to 21, 2024, at Kasetsart University\u2019s Bangkhen campus in Bangkok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


We were honoured to warmly welcome Professor Atsushi Fukuda and Professor Tetsuhiro Ishizaka from Nihon University, with whom our Department of Civil Engineering department has enjoyed a longstanding academic and research collaboration.
During the three-day workshop, both undergraduate and graduate students \u2014 10 from Nihon University and 9 from Kasetsart University \u2014 participated in various activities. These included conducting a traffic data survey with the use of speed radar and video devices. Moreover, the students performed traffic analysis through image processing and traffic modeling techniques.
This workshop provided an excellent opportunity for students of both universities to collaborate cross-culturally and exchange knowledge \u2014 an essential experience in the field of transportation engineering \u2014 which will foster mutual learning and inspire their future studies and endeavours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
