On Monday 2 September, 2024, a group of visitors from China Agricultural University were at Kasetsart University\u2019s Faculty of Engineering for discussions regarding the establishment of future cooperation between both institutions. The visiting delegation consisted of Professor Du Taisheng, Vice President; Professor Song Zhenghe, Dean of the College of Engineering; Professor Liu Wenfeng, a Professor at the College of Water Resources and Civil Engineering; and Ms. Tan Lu, Division Head of the International Office. They were cordially welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mongkol Raksapatcharawong, Director of Princess Chulabhorn Satellite Receiving Station (CSRS); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chawalit Kittichaikarn, Director of the IUP (International Undergraduate Program) and Assistant Dean for International Affairs; and Assoc.Prof.Dr.Adichai Pornprommin, Head of Water Resources Engineering Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the morning, they discussed the possibility of future cooperation in water resources and agricultural engineering. In addition, our visitors promoted the establishment of the Sino-Thai International Science and Technology Backyard, which China Agricultural University hopes will become a new model for modern agricultural science and technology innovation, economic development and talent training. They also discussed working together in talent cultivation and scientific research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also visited our Princess Chulabhorn Satellite Receiving Station (CSRS), which supports Thailand\u2019s agricultural sector through the monitoring of soil moisture, accumulated rainfall, solar radiation, floods and droughts, forest fires, and landslides. Furthermore, they explored further collaboration in the fields of water resources and agricultural engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
