The exclusive seminar \u201cEngineering Tomorrow Talk: Smart Manufacturing \u2014 Bridging Research and Industrial Applications\u201d<\/strong> was a resounding success, bringing together academia and industry. Organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kasetsart University in collaboration with MISUMI Thailand and the Thai-German Institute (TGI), the event took place on 22 September, 2026, in the main conference room on the fourth floor of Building 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event drew an enthusiastic turnout of over 150 attendees, including entrepreneurs, industrial engineers, faculty members, and Kasetsart University engineering students. They came together to explore next-generation technologies shaping the future of industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr Wanchai Yodsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Design & Knowledge Station:<\/strong> Computer-aided design facilities and a library of more than 1,000,000 globally standardized components.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Industrial Components & Structure Zone:<\/strong> Displays of actual components \u2014 including linear motion, rotary, and pneumatic parts \u2014 complete with QR codes for pricing\/use cases, alongside aluminium profile machinery structures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Automation Demo & Learning Space:<\/strong> Two functional automated production system demonstrations and a garden-inspired co-working space. The hands-on environment supports students as they work on capstone and senior projects and prepare for careers in smart factories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
