The Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, was established on August 1, 1938, under the name of Chang Chonprathan School under the Royal Irrigation Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. It enjoyed a long history before being formally established as the Faculty of Engineering and various developments have taken place until the present day:

1 August 1938M.L.Chuchart Kamphu was established as an irrigation technician school under the Royal Irrigation Department (Samsen) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in order to teach the irrigation technician certificate (2 years) to produce irrigation technicians as a major force of the Royal Irrigation Department for the purpose of surveying, design, construction, construction management, and maintenance of irrigation projects.
1942-1949Suspended during World War II.
2 October 1949Started offering courses related to Irrigation Technician (3 years).
23 August 1951Changed its name to “Irrigation School” as a subsidiary of Kasetsart University.
1954Established the Faculty of Irrigation Engineering, Kasetsart University affiliate program, Bachelor of Irrigation Technician (5 years).
1955Moved the campus from the Samsen Royal Irrigation Department to the Royal Irrigation Department, Pak Kret, Nonthaburi Province.
1964Renamed as the Graduate School of Irrigation Engineering (4 years).
Faculty of Engineering: the first step towards the country’s leading institute in engineering.

1 March 1966
Changed its name to the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, with a Bachelor of Engineering Program (4 years).
1966-1967Offered a Bachelor’s degree program in Agricultural Engineering.
1967-1968Offered a Bachelor’s degree program in Civil Engineering and Mechanical-Electrical Engineering.
1969-1970Offered a Master’s degree program in Irrigation Engineering.
1 October 1970Relocated the faculty from the Irrigation Department in Pakkred District to Kasetsart University, Bangkhen, and offered a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering.
1971-1972Revised the Bachelor’s degree program in mechanical-electrical engineering into Mechanical engineering.
1975-1976Offered a master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering.
1979-1980Relocated the Department of Agricultural Engineering and Irrigation Engineering, 3rd-4th year to Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Nakhon Pathom Province.
1982-1983Offered a Bachelor’s degree program in Water Resources Engineering and Industrial Engineering.
1989Offered a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Engineering and Chemical Engineering.
1993Offered a Bachelor’s degree program in Aerospace Engineering and Environmental Engineering.
1998Offered a Bachelor’s degree program in Materials Engineering.
1999Established the International Double Degree Program (IDDP), a joint bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Business management, with RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.
2001Offered an international bachelor’s degree program in Environmental Engineering and Industrial Engineering.
2003Established “The International Undergraduate Program (IUP) and offered a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and Software and Knowledge Engineering
2004Offered an International Undergraduate Program in Electrical-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering.
2014Offered an International Undergraduate Program in Electrical Engineering (Communication Engineering).
2019Offered an International Undergraduate Program in Electrical Engineering (Energy Innovation and Intelligent Robotics – English Program: EIIR).
