The president of Kasetsart University and management representatives were extremely honored to visit Mongolia from 28 June to 2 July 2022. The delegation from the Faculty of Engineering included Assoc. Prof. Wachira Chongburi, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, Vice Dean for Research. The objective of the visit was to develop a collaborative network between Kasetsart University and educational and research institutions in Mongolia.
Towards the end of last year (2021), the ambassador of Mongolia to Thailand paid a visit to Kasetsart University, and during that visit Kasetsart University expressed its willingness to offer scholarships to Mongolian students who wish to enroll in degree programs at Kasetsart University, starting from July 2022.
As part of this trip, Kasetsart University signed a cooperative agreement with the Mongolian University of Life Sciences, during a visit arranged by its rector. The agreement between both universities supports the exchange of teachers and students as well as joint research initiatives. It also provides for future academic conferences in a wide range of disciplines: veterinary medicine, animal science and agro- biotechnology, aquaculture and aquatic conservation, agricultural engineering, agro-ecology, food security, climate change and crop resilience, desertification, and fulfillment of a project to plant one billion trees.
