Seminar on System Dynamics Approach for Industries, 19-20 August 2024

Prof. Dr. Min-Ren Yan, chair professor of sustainable system development at National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan, was an honoured guest of our faculty’s Department of Industrial Engineering on August 19 and 20, 2024. He conducted a seminar on System Dynamics Approach for Industries to an audience of our lecturers and students. The seminar’s first session, in the afternoon of August 19, was on System Dynamics Approaches to Addressing Complex Issues in Industrial Engineering. The next morning a session on Insights and Future Directions: Research Sharing from a High-Impact Journal Editor was held, followed by System Dynamics for Sustainable Innovation and Industrial Development: Insights and Applications in Global Governance in the afternoon.

Professor Min-Ren Yan is currently the President of the Taiwan Chapter of the System Dynamics Society as well as Professor of Management at National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Prof. Yan is specialized in the fields of entrepreneurial business innovation, strategic management and decision science, industrial economics, systems leadership and education for sustainable development, and edits journals in these fields. In addition, he is President Emeritus of iiLABs at Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Academy in the USA, where he works with sustainable development goals and practical sustainable system development education in support of governmental agencies and diverse industries in Asia.
