On November 4, 2024, Professor Dr. Wanchai Yodsujai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Kasetsart University and Avery Dennison Corporation. Dr. Damrong Sriprama, Vice President for Administration and Carbon Neutrality, represented the university in signing the agreement alongside Mr. Andy Xu, Human Resource Director of Avery Dennison Corporation Singapore. The ceremony was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anuvat Jangchud, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lerpong Jarupan, Head of the Department of Packaging and Materials Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchatee Techapiesancharoenkij, Head of the Department of Materials Engineering, faculty members from both departments, and Ms. Kuek Yen Sim, Early Talent Program Manager, APAC, Avery Dennison Corporation.
This agreement marks the beginning of opportunities for graduate development in the printing, labels, and packaging industry, which are Avery Dennison’s core products. With Thailand hosting a major manufacturing facility in the ASEAN region, the company aims to establish cooperation in student training, internships at both their Malaysian and Rayong plants, factory visits, and research collaboration through undergraduate projects and Capstone Projects. The goal is to enhance the capabilities of Kasetsart graduates in industries related to the company, enabling students and graduates from both the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Agro-Industry to be recruited into the company’s LEAD Program or Early Talent Program in the future.
