The Faculty of Engineering would like to extend its warm congratulations to Mr. Nattakorn Chuenboonma, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who won the Best Student Presentation award at the international academic conference ISTP-34 – the 34th International Symposium on Transport Phenomena – which was held from November 10-13, 2024, in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Mr. Nattakorn Chuenboonma performed his presentation under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerachai Chaiworapruek, along with co-advisors Prof. Dr. Mitsuhiro Fukuta and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Masaaki Motozawa from Shizuoka University, Japan. Kasetsart University has built a reputation for winning various contests and competitions on the global stage.
The outstanding research work that received this recognition was called Experimental Investigation of Magneto-Acoustic Heat Transfer Augmentation of Magnetic Nanofluid Flow in Rectangular Duct, which presented a study of the enhancement of heat transfer performance with magnetic waves in a magnetic nanofluid flowing in a rectangular duct. This research combined advances in magnetic and acoustic technology to lead towards the development of highly efficient and environmentally friendly heat transfer systems.
This research was supported by the Industrial Research Development Program and received the opportunity to conduct further research in Japan for a period of one year in collaboration with Shizuoka University, which is valued as an experience that enhances knowledge, expertise and in-depth research at the international level.
