Kasetsart University (KU) leadership met with delegates from Northwest A&F University (NWAFU), China, to establish new academic partnerships and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on December 16, 2024. The meeting took place at the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building.
Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod, Vice President for Research and Internationalization, led the KU delegation in welcoming NWAFU representatives headed by Prof. WU Pute, President of NWAFU. The meeting marked a significant step in fostering international academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The discussion focused on several key collaboration initiatives:
- Credit transfer program with a minimum requirement of 9 credits
- Implementation of KU Soft Power program to promote Thai culture
- Development of Summer School programs
- Joint activities in agriculture and environmental studies
NWAFU, established in 1934, is a prestigious national university under China’s Ministry of Education. Located in Yangling District, Xianyang, Shaanxi, the university participates in major Chinese government development initiatives including Project 211, Project 985, and the Double First-Class Construction program.

- Representatives from the Offices of Scientific Projects Management and International Cooperation
The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing a framework for future collaboration beyond traditional student exchange programs.
