Push beyond conventional limits! The first and only program in Thailand to combine Mechanical Engineering with AI and build the next generation of Physical AI.

Traditional mechanical engineering may no longer be enough. Recently, faculty members from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, held an orientation seminar introducing students to the AI-Integrated Engineering Program (AIEP 4+1). The event drew high interest from students eager to equip themselves with future-proof tech skills.

This cross-disciplinary collaboration goes beyond general AI theory. It aims directly at building Physical AI: intelligent systems that integrate AI algorithms with mechanical systems, computing hardware, and the physical world — helping transform the industries of tomorrow.

Why study AI-Integrated Mechanical Engineering (IUP 4+1) at KU Mech?

1. Earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years

Complete the four-year International Undergraduate Program (IUP) in Mechanical Engineering, then continue for just one additional year to earn a master’s degree in AI-Integrated Engineering. Save time and money while earning an advanced degree that prepares you to work with leading technology companies around the world.

2. Deep integration of AI and Mechanical Engineering

Combine a strong foundation in mechanical engineering — dynamics, automation, controls, HVAC, and energy — with advanced AI technologies such as machine learning, computer vision, and predictive analytics. Apply them in fields including robotics, autonomous systems, digital twins, and smart factories.

3. Real-world impact and industry co-design

Students will take part in research and capstone projects with expert faculty and global industry partners, tackling real-world problems from the classroom. The aim is not simply to pass exams, but to create innovations that work in practice.

Applications are now open for the second cohort, Academic Year 2027

  • Available places: 60
