On Wednesday 24 November 2021, at 1.30 P.M., in Kampol Adulvit room on the 2nd floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University. Dr. Chongrak WACHRINRAT, President of Kasetsart University along with Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat PENSUPAR, Vice President for International Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Suphattharachai CHOMPHAN, Assistant to the President for Administration Sriracha Campus, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarinya SANITWONG NA AYUTTHAYA, Dean of Faculty of International Maritime Studies, Associate Professor Dr. Sathaporn CHUEPENG, Dean of Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha, Associate Professor Dr. Peerayuth CHANSETHIKUL, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Admiral Supit UMNUAY, Former Dean of Faculty of International Maritime Studies, and Kasetsart University personnel participated in an online MoU signing ceremony with Harbin Engineering University, China via Voov meeting led by Professor Yao YU, President of Harbin Engineering University.
In this historical event, Kasetsart University and Harbin Engineering University had signed 3 types of agreements namely 1. Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Cooperation 2. Agreement Addendum Student and Staff Exchange and 3. The Sino-Thai Science and Cultural Center aims to strengthen the bond and collaborative activities between the two institutes. Moreover, both Kasetsart University and Harbin Engineering University presented the collaboration activities report via video clip and conducted an academic discussion of various topics such as the Chinese government scholarship application, the Double degree program, online courses, and the activity of the Sino-Thai Science and Cultural Center. This session was guided by Dr. Ratthakrit REABROY, Assistant to the Dean for Research and Innovation, Faculty of International Maritime Studies, and supported by the Chinese interpreter from the Faculty of Humanities.
Harbin Engineering University is one of the top-notch public universities in China with expertise in Engineering and Maritime Engineering. Established in 1953 at Harbin, Heilongjiang, this university offers more than 150-degree program which 48 of them was conducted in English, Furthermore, Harbin Engineering University also receive the Double First-Class Discipline University prices from the Chinese government with a total amount of 30,000 students at the present.
