February 28, 2023 -The Rail Technology Research and Development Agency, Ministry of Transport, representatives of the railway business corporation Egis Rail, and representatives of École Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile (ESTACA), an engineering school in France, were all welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suchat Leungprasert, Vice Dean for Management; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suphawut Malaikrisanachalee, Head of the Civil Engineering Department. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in railroad operations was discussed during this meeting, along with academic cooperation, research, and student projects. One of our professors of transportation engineering at Kasetsart University (KU Rail) is specialized in rail systems engineering. The discussion participants included professors from the Departments of Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
