On May 28, 2024, the executive team of the Faculty of Engineering, comprising Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dulpichet Rerkpreedapong, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siripon Anataworasakul, Vice Dean for Research and Innovation, along with faculty members from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, represented the Dean in signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to develop a Double Degree Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering between the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University (KU) and the College of Engineering, National Chung Cheng University (CCU). The signing ceremony took place at the Ming Chu International Conference Hall, Innovation Building, College of Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan.
The CCU delegation at the MoA signing ceremony was led by Prof. Yuan-Yao Li, Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Shyh-Leh Chen, Dean of the Office of Research and Development, Prof. Her-Terng Yau, Director of the Advanced Institute of Manufacturing with High-tech Innovations (AIM-HI), and faculty members from the College of Engineering, CCU.
Additionally, faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering, KU, presented academic papers, chaired sessions, and co-chaired sessions at the 2024 Taiwan-Thailand Symposium on Engineering & Technology (TALENT 2024) held from May 28-30, 2024, at the Innovation Building, College of Engineering, CCU. The symposium featured 47 presentations from faculty and researchers from Kasetsart University, Chiang Mai University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, and CCU.
Currently, students from the Faculty of Engineering, KU, have received scholarships to pursue doctoral degrees and long-term internships at the College of Engineering, CCU. The outcomes of this MoA signing and academic symposium will help expand the collaborative network across various departments and create opportunities for KU engineering students to receive scholarships for master’s and doctoral studies, as well as long-term internships.
