On August 27, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University and Korea University, organized a special international seminar. The event, titled “Environment Engineering and Technologies Special Seminar: Climate Technology, Solar Renewable Energy and Advanced Water and Wastewater Treatment,” brought together experts to share knowledge with students and faculty members.
Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University, presided over the seminar. The event featured two distinguished speakers from Korea University:
- Prof. Dr. Sungho Hwang from Korea University
- Prof. Dr. Seungkwan Hong from Korea University and Korea Water Partnership
The seminar attracted administrators, faculty members, students, and interested participants from the field of environmental engineering. The event took place at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University.
Prof. Seungkwan Hong works at Korea University’s School of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering. Additionally, he holds several prestigious positions:
- Dean of Korea University’s Graduate School of Energy and Environment
- President of the Korea Water Partnership
- Director of the Human Resources Development Program for Carbon Neutrality of South Korea’s Ministry of Environment
- Director of the KORAE (Low Energy Seawater Desalination) Research Center
Prof. Sungho Hwang is a research professor at Korea University’s Research Institute for Energy Technology.
This seminar demonstrates the ongoing collaboration between Kasetsart University and Korea University in the field of environmental engineering and technology.
