Goldnation’s YLEC Program Brings Indonesian Students to Explore Engineering Education in Thailand
On September 12, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering welcomed a group of 44 Indonesian students as part of the Youth Leaders Exchange and Conference (YLEC) program. This initiative, organized by Goldnation, aims to foster international understanding and provide insights into educational and cultural experiences abroad. The visiting delegation comprised 36 university students, 8 school students, and 4 additional engineering students who joined the group.
Upon their arrival, the delegation was welcomed by Assistant Professor Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham, Vice Dean for International Affairs. The students then had the opportunity to attend an engaging presentation titled “Engineering Programs Towards Global Impact,” delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Aphichart Rodchanarowan, Vice Dean for Human Resources and Assistant to the President for Quality Development and Database Systems, who shared valuable insights into the faculty’s global approach to engineering education.
The tour included visits to laboratories and teaching facilities. Associate Professor Dr. Weerachai Chaiworapuek, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, guided the students through various labs, with a special focus on the clean room technology used in operating theaters. Associate Professor Dr. Apiniti Jotisankasa presented on the field of geotechnical engineering, highlighting the department’s work in this crucial area.
