On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, a delegation from Kasetsart University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apisit Songsasen, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Lifelong Learning, Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Assoc.Prof. Srijidtra Charoenlarpnopparut, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs and Lifelong Learning, along with executives from the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Business Administration, and their team, visited and conducted a study tour at Western Digital Storage Technologies (Thailand) in Bang Pa-in, Ayutthaya.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Kriangkrai Sitthiosoth, Senior Director of Magnetic Recording Head Manufacturing Engineering, and Ms. Nathalita Poopirom, Vice President and Managing Director, HDD Operations, Bang Pa-in. They provided an overview of the company and presented cutting-edge advancements in hard disk drive manufacturing technology.
This visit is part of the ongoing implementation of the Advanced Technology Upskill Development Program for Smart Manufacturing 4.0, a collaborative initiative between the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, and Western Digital, aiming to develop highly skilled professionals in smart manufacturing technologies.
