On April 17, 2024, a delegation from Kasetsart University, led by Dr. Damrong Sripraram, Acting President, visited ECAM LaSalle, a leading engineering institution in Lyon, France. The delegation included senior administrators:
- Prof. Dr. Dokrak Marod, Vice President for Research and Internationalization
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanin Kongsila, Vice President for Human Resources and Strategies
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sathaporn Chuepeng, Vice President for Sriracha Campus
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aphichart Rodchanarowan, Assistant to the President for Quality Development and Database Systems
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerachai Chaiworapuek, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering
The visit included the signing of two strategic cooperation agreements between Kasetsart University and ECAM LaSalle:
- The establishment of the Climate Transformation Institute at Kasetsart University’s Bangkhen and Sriracha campuses
- The renewal of the academic and exchange cooperation framework between the two institutions
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, will take a leading role in supporting the Climate Transformation Institute. The institute aims to serve as a knowledge and innovation hub focused on climate change management through the integration of engineering, technology, and industry collaboration, particularly in Thailand.
This collaboration aligns with Kasetsart University’s strategic objective to enhance international partnerships and provide students with exposure to global academic environments, particularly in climate and sustainability-related fields.
