On July 14, 2025, a delegation from Kasetsart University paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, and Mr. Moti Bahadur Shrees, Deputy Chief of Mission/Counsellor, at the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok. The meeting aimed to discuss potential academic collaboration, research partnerships, and educational personnel exchanges between universities in Thailand and Nepal.

The Kasetsart University delegation was composed of the following representatives: Asst. Prof. Dr.rer.Soc Supapatpimol Simlee, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suchat Leungprasert, Deputy Dean for Administration, Faculty of Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerachai Chaiworapuek, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakit Sayasoonthorn, Department of Farm Mechanics; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Busarin Chongcharoenyanon, Vice Dean for Organization Communication, Faculty of Agro-Industry.

The discussion focused on promoting collaboration between Kasetsart University and academic institutions in Nepal across various areas, including the development of joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, co-organization of academic activities, and strategies for building cooperative networks to enhance scientific, technological, and innovation capacities between the two countries.

The Embassy of Nepal expressed its support and readiness to assist in facilitating the collaboration, including offering guidance and coordinating with relevant institutions in Nepal to help foster academic and research linkages between Thailand and Nepal in the future.
Kasetsart University will continue to prepare and update relevant information regarding the partnership and share it with the Embassy periodically, with the aim of advancing toward tangible and fruitful cooperation.
