On Tuesday, 12 May 2026, Kasetsart University welcomed a delegation from Universitas Persada Indonesia Y.A.I, led by Ms. Dewi Syukriah, Assistant of Vice Rector for Collaboration, together with 32 delegates.
The welcoming session was attended by representatives from several faculties of Kasetsart University, led by Asst. Prof. Supapatpimol Simlee, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and the representatives from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Environment, and Faculty of Social Sciences. Representing the Faculty of Engineering was Asst. Prof. Jiramate Changklom, Ph.D., Assistant Dean for International Affairs.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss potential academic collaboration between the two institutions in areas such as student and faculty exchange, joint research projects, guest lectures, joint seminars and conferences, as well as collaborative academic programmes. The visit also provided opportunities for cultural exchange between Indonesian and Thai participants.
In addition, the visit to Kasetsart University formed part of the “3rd International Collaboration Trip 2026 in Thailand,” held during 11–15 May 2026. The previous programmes were organised in Malaysia and Singapore in 2024, and in the Philippines in 2025.
Following the welcoming remarks by Asst. Prof. Supapatpimol Simlee, Ph.D., Ms. Dewi Syukriah introduced Universitas Persada Indonesia Y.A.I and provided an overview of the 3rd International Collaboration Trip 2026. Afterwards, the delegates were divided into groups for discussion sessions with KU representatives to explore possible areas of collaboration before visiting the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Social Sciences.
