Kasetsart University and Siemens Sign MoU to Advance Climate Solutions, Engineering Innovation, and Global Internship Opportunities

In May 2026, Kasetsart University and Siemens Limited formalized their collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the framework of the International Consortium for Climate Change Solutions (ICCCS). The agreement was signed by Dr. Damrong Srispraram, Acting President of Kasetsart University, and Mr. Ross Conlon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Limited.

The collaboration aims to promote joint initiatives in climate change solutions, engineering innovation, sustainable technologies, and future workforce development. It also seeks to establish a platform for long-term cooperation between academia and global industry partners to address emerging technological and environmental challenges.

For the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the partnership extends beyond the existing Siemens Technology Center and includes collaborative activities related to the ICCCS initiative, Smart Agriculture Platform development, automation and digital industry systems, as well as smart manufacturing and artificial intelligence integration. These efforts are expected to support the development of innovative technologies that contribute to sustainable industrial and societal advancement.

A key benefit of this collaboration is the expansion of international opportunities for students in all Mechanical Engineering programs. Through Siemens’ global network, students will have access to internship opportunities across various international locations, enabling them to gain practical industry experience, develop competencies in automation, artificial intelligence, and smart industry technologies, and strengthen their readiness for careers in a global engineering environment.

This partnership reflects the Department of Mechanical Engineering’s commitment to fostering an industry-integrated and globally connected engineering ecosystem that links academic learning, industrial collaboration, and international engagement to prepare future engineers for the challenges of a rapidly evolving world.
