The Department of Environmental Engineering took a large group of fourth-year undergraduate students to the EGAT Learning Center on 23 July 2026 as part of the course 01210442 Nuclear Waste Management Technology, taught by Associate Professor Dr. Cheema Soralump.

This study trip gave students the opportunity to learn about the mission, roles, and expertise of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) in electric power generation. Through a wide range of exhibitions and learning media at the EGAT Learning Center, students connected their course knowledge with the wider contexts of energy, resource use, and environmental issues in the energy sector.

Through moving beyond classroom learning to a real-world learning environment, the visit strengthened students’ understanding and broadened their perspectives as environmental engineers, preparing them to build on this knowledge in their future education.
