On November 17, 2023, a senior delegation of the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, consisting of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Asst. Prof. Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham, Vice Dean for International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wilasinee Yoochatchaval, Head of the Environmental Engineering Department; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pongsak Noophan, an Environmental Engineering Department faculty member, traveled to Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan.
The delegation met with Prof. Hiroki Habazaki, Dean of the College of Engineering; along with Prof. Norihiro Izumi, Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering; Prof. Yutaka Tabe, Director of International Affairs; and Prof. Satoshi Okabe, Ph.D., a faculty member of the Environmental Engineering Department.
This meeting between both institutions’ senior executives was the result of a long-standing academic collaboration between the Department of Environmental Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, and Hokkaido University. Both institutions have nurtured a positive relationship in research activities over an extended period.
The discussion during this meeting aimed towards exploring avenues for future collaboration, including hosting joint academic conferences, developing double degree programs, exchanging staff and students, and expanding cooperation into other areas. After the discussion, the senior executives of Hokkaido University conducted a tour of their environmental engineering laboratories.
