On April 27, 2567 (2024), a team of 12 professors from the Faculties of Engineering and Science at Kasetsart University, Thailand, presented their research on energy and new materials at the Sino-Thai Symposium on Energy and New Materials. The symposium was organized by Soochow University International Office and the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering & Materials Science, in collaboration with leading energy, science, and technology institutes. It took place at the Guanyuan Crystal Hotel in Suzhou, China.
The Kasetsart University Engineering team was led by Associate Professor Dr. Siripon Anantaworasakul, Vice Dean for Research and Innovation, accompanied by professors from the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering.
This symposium marked the first bilateral meeting between Kasetsart University and Soochow University. It provided a platform for Thai and Chinese researchers in energy and new materials to present their high-quality, international-level research.
Additionally, on April 28, 2567 (2024), the presenters visited the research laboratories and analytical instrument centers at Soochow University’s College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, as well as the School of Energy. Discussions were held between Soochow University and Kasetsart University regarding potential academic collaborations, joint research projects, and future faculty and student exchanges.
