On November 11, 2024, Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, the Dean of Kasetsart University’s Faculty of Engineering, along with administrators and lecturers of the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Aerospace Engineering, welcomed Professor Gui Lohmann, Director of STEM Transnational of RMIT University, Australia, to discuss academic cooperation towards the development of a joint curriculum between both institutions in the field of Civil Engineering. This will entail a 3+1.5-year program (of which 3 years are spent at the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, and 1.5 years at RMIT, culminating in a single degree in engineering), as well as 3+2.5 years (3 years at the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, and 2.5 years at RMIT’s Department of Civil Engineering and Business Administration, leading to two degrees in Engineering and Business Administration). After these discussions, the two departments will develop guidelines and curriculum formats and fine tune the exact details of their collaboration in the future. The discussions were held at Meeting Room 0219, Chuchat Kamphu Building, Faculty of Engineering.
Later that day, Professor Lohmann visited faculty members of the Department of Aerospace Engineering, a department that has enjoyed a long-standing academic cooperation with RMIT University, since 1999. Dr. Narongkorn Krachangsawat, a lecturer at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, along with staff and students, welcomed Professor Lohmann at the Department’s office.
