The Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University officially launched “The 4th Multi-National Workshop for Engineering Students in Thailand 2026” today. Running from February 22–27, this international platform is a landmark achievement for student leadership, as the entire event is organized and managed by a dedicated team of KU Engineering students.
The workshop kicked off on Sunday morning with a warm welcome from the Dean, Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, alongside the Project Leader, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerachai Chaiworapuek. The event brings together over 120 participants, including more than 70 international students and faculty members from 14 universities across 11 countries, fostering a truly global academic community.

Day 1: Connection and Innovation
The opening morning focused on building bridges between disciplines and cultures:
- Orientation & Ice Breaking: Students engaged in high-energy activities to dissolve cultural barriers and establish the teamwork foundations necessary for the intensive week ahead.
- Poster Presentations: A showcase of student innovation where participants presented research and project proposals, sparking intellectual dialogue between global peers.
- Networking Luncheon: A communal lunch where students from KU, Mahidol University (SSPO), and international partners shared ideas and built professional networks in a relaxed setting.

This year’s workshop features an impressive roster of participating institutions, including: Japan: Keio University, Osaka Sangyo University, Shizuoka University; Europe: ECAM LaSalle (France), University West (Sweden), Kaliningrad State Technical University (Russia); Asia: Ewha Womans University (South Korea), Shandong University of Technology (China), Manipal University Jaipur (India), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (Malaysia), De La Salle University (Philippines), and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (Vietnam).
The program is a collaborative powerhouse involving KU’s Department of Mechanical Engineering (all 4 campuses) alongside the Departments of Chemical, Environmental, and Aerospace Engineering. Furthermore, the integration with the Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (SSPO), Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, adds a vital “Engineering for Humanity” dimension to the workshop.
By empowering the student team to take the lead in organizing such a complex international event, the Faculty of Engineering reinforces its mission to develop “Global Engineers”—leaders who are technically proficient, confident in professional English, and capable of navigating cross-cultural environments.
The workshop continues throughout the week with integrated technical sessions, industrial site visits, and Thai cultural exchanges, concluding on February 27.
