On October 10, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University (KU), through the Department of Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd., People’s Republic of China, organized the Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Thailand-China Diplomatic Relations & China-Thailand High-Speed Train Technology Development Seminar.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Damrong Sripraram, Acting President of Kasetsart University, and Mr. Xia Wenfang, Director of the Political Division, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China. Also attending were Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichai Siwakosit, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Prapot Kunthong from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, along with Fang Yi, Second-level Inspector of the Equipment Supervision and Management Department, National Railway Administration of China, and Mr. Gao Dianzhu, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Quality and Informationization Department.
The seminar featured discussions on high-speed rail technology in China, rail system development in Thailand, and Thailand-China technological cooperation. Executives, faculty members, and staff from both organizations participated in the event, which was held in the 19th-floor conference room, Department of Mechanical Engineering (Building 6), Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University.
