On February 18, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham from the Department of Electrical Engineering, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchatee Techapiesancharoenkij and Asst. Prof. Dr. Amornrat Lertworasirikul from the Department of Materials Engineering, led first-year Semiconductor Engineering students to attend a special lecture titled “Progress in Power Electronic Technologies.”
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Wataru Saito from Kyushu University, Japan, at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Bang Khun Thian campus. The group was warmly welcomed by Dr. Annop Nopparat, Vice President, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Bunyaphat Suphanit, Director of the Excellent Center of Waste Utilization and Management (ECoWaste)

Following the lecture, the students visited the Rural Electricity Learning Center to study research on Agri-PV (Agrivoltaics) and toured the CES Solar Cells Testing Center (CSSC). This study visit provided students with practical insights into applying semiconductor engineering knowledge to real-world devices, offering a valuable learning experience outside the classroom and inspiring their future careers as semiconductor engineers.
