On Tuesday, 23 June 2026, Kasetsart University welcomed a delegation of executives and researchers from Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (SAAS), Sichuan Agricultural University, and Chengdu Institute of Biology (CIB), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), People’s Republic of China, at Meeting Room 9, Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center, Kasetsart University.
The delegation was welcomed by Associate Professor Dr. Narongrit Muangmai, Assistant to the President for Research and Internationalization, together with executives and representatives from relevant faculties. Representing the Faculty of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Jiramate Changklom, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, participated in the meeting. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for academic and research collaboration in areas such as Remote Sensing, Digital Agriculture, Agricultural Information Systems, smart agriculture, geospatial data applications, biodiversity, natural resource conservation, and sustainable development.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged information and discussed potential cooperation, including joint research projects, student and researcher exchanges, academic staff mobility, joint conferences, seminars, and other scholarly activities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives from both sides exchanged commemorative gifts and participated in a group photograph. The visit marked another opportunity to strengthen academic networks and future collaboration between Kasetsart University and leading research institutions in the People’s Republic of China.
