Faculty members from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, recently met with the Dean and faculty members of the Faculty of Sports and Health Science, at Kasetsart University’s Kamphaeng Saen Campus, to establish a collaborative roadmap for future technology and innovation.



Equipped with state-of-the-art sports technologies, advanced biomechanics analytics, and world-class experts, the Faculty of Sports and Health Science has outlined four mega-trend focus areas for joint research and innovation:
1. Aging Society — Biomechanical devices and assistive technologies designed to enhance elderly mobility, safety, and well-being.
2. Office Syndrome — Ergonomic monitoring systems and automated rehabilitation mechanisms for work-related muscle relief.
3. Sports Performance & Technology — Motion and force analysis, along with advanced gear to elevate elite athletic performance.
4. Sports Psychology & Brain Signal Analysis — EEG sensing and neural signal processing to optimize athletic focus, decision-making, and mental performance.


Kickstarting the Collaboration via Capstone Projects
To translate real-world challenges into practical, high-impact technologies, this initiative will officially launch through student capstone projects, uniting students across three flagship programs:
Mechanical Engineering (ME)
Electrical-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering (EMME)
Robotics and Automation Engineering (DMRIE)
This unique synergy allows our engineering students to apply their expertise in Sensors, Mechatronics, Kinematics, Data Analytics, and Mechanical Design alongside Sports Science experts — creating cutting-edge solutions that seamlessly integrate engineering with human health.
