A warm welcome to ECAM LaSalle master’s degree students to the Mechanical Engineering family at Kasetsart University for the third consecutive year

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, is delighted to welcome four master’s degree students from ECAM LaSalle, France. They have come to pursue the Master of Engineering program in Mechanical Engineering as full-time students for one academic year.

This collaboration is part of the Double Degree Program between our Department of Mechanical Engineering and ECAM LaSalle. The agreement was signed in 2023 and has continued strongly into its third year.

On this special occasion, the Department was honoured to welcome Mr Didier Desplanche, President of ECAM LaSalle, and Mr Yosawat Iamcharoenchai, Director of ECAM LaSalle Asia Pacific. They joined the welcome ceremony and exchanged ideas on the further joint development of the program.

The impact of this program goes beyond demonstrating the international trust placed in the quality of our education. It actively creates a truly global environment for Thai students in the Department, in the form of:

International Research Community. The four French students will be integrated into various departmental research laboratories throughout the year. This provides Thai and French students with opportunities to work together, exchange engineering perspectives, and learn from each other’s working cultures every day.

The Multinational Workshop. Students will participate in the Multinational Workshop for Engineering Students in Thailand, the Department’s flagship annual international program. The activity brings together more than 150 engineering students from 14 countries to collaborate on activities and solve engineering challenges.

Developing engineers for the modern era begins with a borderless classroom. The Department is committed to creating an adaptable learning environment that advances research and builds genuinely global networks. True internationalization isn’t just about sending our students abroad — it’s about embedding an international learning ecosystem right here at home, making global education a reality every single day.
