September 23, 2024 – Asst. Prof. Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham, Vice Dean for International Affairs; and Assoc. Prof. Dr.Chawalit Kittichaikarn, Assistant Dean for International Affairs and Director of the (International Undergraduate Program) IUP, paid a visit to two universities in France for detailed discussions and a tour of their educational and research facilities.
Their first visit was to ICAM Grand Paris Sud, where they met with their Director Mr. Christophe Pennel,
their Dean of Studies Mr. Nicolas Mellier, as well as other faculty members. They were shown around
ICAM’s campus and research facilities. They also exchanged details of both institutions’ education
systems and curricula. There are seven ICAM campuses spread across France: Paris, Lille, Nantes,
Strasbourg, Vendée, Toulouse, and Vannes (Bretagne). The Paris campus is renowned for its industrial
engineering (supply chain) and materials engineering specialisations. It also offers programs in electrical
engineering and mechanical engineering. Kasetsart University’s Faculty of Engineering is currently
hosting a research student from ICAM for 6 months, while another student will arrive in 2025.
Later that day Dr. Patamaporn and Dr. Chawalit visited CY Tech, Cergy Paris University. They held
productive discussions with Mr. Michel Guilmault, Director of International Relations. Mr. Guilmault
presented them with CY Tech’s English-taught program in big data. In addition, CY Tech has a research
program in which our Faculty of Engineering’s students can participate in the form of summer
internships and a co-operative program.
