
On January 24, 2025, Kasetsart University (KU) and Iwate University, Japan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance academic cooperation. The ceremony took place at KU’s Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center.
Dr. Damrong Sripraram, KU Vice President, represented President Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat in presiding over the event. The delegation included KU executives and faculty members, such as Asst. Prof. Dr. Supapatpimol Simlee and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiramate Changklom. Iwate University’s delegation was led by President Dr. Satoshi Ogawa, accompanied by faculty representatives.

The MoU aims to strengthen ties in education and research through faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and curriculum development. This five-year agreement will facilitate cooperation across multiple disciplines, particularly in engineering fields.
During the event, Dr. Sripraram welcomed the collaboration, while President Ogawa emphasized its significance in advancing research and academic exchange. Discussions followed on potential joint programs, student exchanges, and research initiatives.
