The Department of Mechanical Engineering has reached an agreement with Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT), Japan, pressing forward our Faculty of Engineering’s efforts to expand overseas internship opportunities with major corporate giants and foster joint research.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was honoured to welcome Associate Professor Tomoichiro Okamoto and Professor Takahiro Endo, along with three Japanese exchange students from Nagaoka University of Technology on the occasion of their visit for academic exchange and collaborative research.

During this visit, key discussions were held to concretely expand the framework of academic cooperation and student internships, highlighting three major areas:
1. Expanding Internship Opportunities at Major Corporations in Japan
Building on the success of sending students to join the internship program at Azbil Corporation in Japan, the department has reached an agreement with NUT to increase the number of leading companies in Japan capable of hosting our students. This initiative aims to provide students with hands-on, international work experience.
2. Connecting the Thai-Japanese Industrial Network
Bridging parent companies in Japan with their subsidiaries in Thailand allows students to gain a comprehensive understanding of continuous operations, master international corporate culture, and support the growth of their engineering careers both locally and globally.
3. Driving Joint Research Between the Two Universities
Promoting faculty and student exchanges to co-create sustainable research and new innovations
The Department of Mechanical Engineering would like to express its sincere gratitude to the faculty members and students from Nagaoka University of Technology for this strong partnership. We remain committed to developing international learning opportunities for our students.
