Following the initial discussions on a partnership, faculty members from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, visited the AppliCAD Innovation Center. They met with AppliCAD Public Company, Limited, to advance engineering education into the digital era through practical collaboration.

The discussions established key agreements and a framework for collaboration that will benefit students across all programs in both departments:
1. The opportunity to earn an internationally recognized CSWA certificate for the entire class
The Engineering Drawing course will be upgraded to teach students industry-standard design skills, alongside the opportunity to sit for the Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) certification exam. This will strengthen their résumés and give them a competitive edge in the workplace before they graduate.
2. Building an end-to-end digital engineering platform
Integrating seamless learning pathways that cover everything from Reverse Engineering and advanced 3D engineering design to Digital Manufacturing. This enables students to fully grasp the complete Digital Design Lifecycle through hands-on coursework within our curriculum.

This cross-departmental collaboration will help KU students develop the crucial skills to take on real-world work and meet the demands of engineering in the digital age.
Another exciting project is coming soon … Stay tuned!
