On 4 September, 2026, our Faculty of Engineering’s Department of Water Resources Engineering organized a special guest lecture for the course 01209425, Hydraulics of Water Supply Distribution Systems, on the topic, “Technology for Network Management and Leakage Control.”
Two internationally recognized speakers were invited: Mr Michael K. Jacoby, Managing Director of Tara Asia Co., Ltd., and Mr Frederic Gillant, APAC Director of Ovarro Sdn Bhd. Both are experts from leading companies specializing in industrial water-measurement products.
During the session, students learned about cutting-edge innovations and equipment for reducing water loss caused by leaks in water-supply systems, including a wide range of technologies, practical applications, and operational processes for efficiently controlling and reducing water loss.
The department sincerely thanks the guest speakers, course instructors, and all participating students for engaging in this valuable knowledge-sharing experience.
