Our Research Team from Mechanical Engineering Department receives Thailand’s Prime Minister Award: Innovation for Crisis

Congratulations to our research and development team of Positive Pressure Cabinet for Covid-19 Screening Process on the occasion of receiving the Prime Minister Award: Innovation for Crisis (Type: Government Sector) from the National Innovation Agency.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering Head and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerachai Chaiworapuek, head of the research project will be receiving an award from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation by Adjunct  Professor Dr. Anek Laothamatas on this Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 09.05-09.20, at the 1st floor hall of the Innovation Park (National Innovation Agency)

Positive Pressure Cabinet for Covid-19 Screening Process: The equipment allows doctors and nurses to conduct swabs from this cabinet without direct contact with patients who remain outside. The cabinet has a glass door entrance that ensures safety and ease of use. It is capable of examining 20 to 30 patients per hour. It is designed and developed by a team of our Mechanical Engineering department, led by Asst.Prof. Dr. Prapot Kunthong, Head of the Department; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Weerachai Chaiworapuek, Asst.Prof. Dr. Kriengkrai Assawamartbunlue, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Attaporn Wisessint and Asst.Prof. Dr. Jay-Tawee Pukrushpan.
