Tuesday 1 November 2022 – Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Tayjasanant, Assistant to the President for International Affairs along with Assistant Professor Dr. Thanasin Tanompongphandh, Deputy Dean for International Affairs and Chairman of Faculty of Economics Center for International Affairs, Faculty of Economics; Assistant Professor Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham, Deputy Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Engineering; Dr. Akekalak Chaipumee, Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Faculty of Social Sciencesand personnel from the International Affairs Division welcomed and attended the meeting to discuss possibilities for future academic collaboration between Ming Chuan University, Taiwan and Kasetsart University. The MCU delegation led by Dr. Nathan K.H. Liu, Director of the International Education Exchange Office together with Mr. Anant Siriwan, Deputy Director, Thailand Office and Ms. Piyawan Pengnoraphat, Project Manager, Thailand Office on the occasion of their official visit to Kasetsart University.
The main purpose of this visit is to discuss possibilities for future academic collaboration between Ming Chuan University, Taiwan and Kasetsart University. On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Tayjasanant, Assistant to the President for International Affairs Kasetsart University gave a welcome speech on this visit and introducing a video presentation of Kasetsart University and willing to support every opportunity to build educational cooperation between the two universities also mentioning the occasion of Kasetsart University’s 80th anniversary in February 2023 next year. Then, Dr. Nathan K.H. Liu, Director of the International Education Exchange Office Ming Chuan University expressed his gratitude and presented a video introducing Ming Chuan University to the meeting.
The meeting exchanged information and discussed future cooperation between Kasetsart University and Ming Chuan University to promote exchange of knowledge at the student, personnel, and faculty level between universities of both universities with emphasizing the short-term exchange program for students in various disciplines such as the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Fisheries, etc. as well as short programs in the form of excursions and cultural exchanges, the exchange of faculty members or researchers between the two institutions, and etc. Both sides are very pleased with today’s discussion on the issues of academic cooperation in various dimensions and will follow up the progress for the next step in near soon.
Ming Chuan University is a private university founded in 1957 in Taiwan. Its main campus is in the capital city of Taipei.
