On Wednesday 22 March 2023, Kasetsart University led by Dr. Chongrak Wacharinrat, President of Kasetsart University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Seri Koonjaenak, DVM, Vice President for Sriracha Campus; Professor Dr. Wanchai Yodsudchai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Associate Professor Dr. Sathaporn Chuepeng, Dean of Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha Campus; Assistant Professor Dr. Suparp Kanyacome, Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineeringat at Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus; Assistant Professor Dr. Sarinya Sanitwong na Ayutthaya, Dean of the International Maritime at Sriracha Campus; Associate Professor Dr. Somchai Donjadee, Deputy Dean for Administration, Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen Campus; Assistant Professor Dr. Wanrat Abdullakasim, Deputy Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Engineering at Kamphaeng Saen Campus; Assistant Professor Dr. Anuwat Attachaiyawuth, Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha Campus; Assistant Professor Dr. Jiraporn Pradabwong, Head of Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha Campus; and Miss Kanokwan Tanniyom, Educator. All delegates of Kasetsart University participated in the signing ceremony for Student Exchange Agreement with Kochi University of Technology (KUT), Japan. In this regard, Professor Masahiko ISOBE, President of Kochi University of Technology welcomed and signed a Student Exchange Agreement between Kasetsart University and Kochi University of Technology (KUT) along with representatives from Kochi University of Technology (KUT) joined to welcome Kasetsart University delegates, consisting of Professor Shigeomi CHONO, Vice President; Professor Makoto IWATA Director, Research Department; Professor Chaoyang Li, Chair of International. Relations Center, Prof. School of Systems Engineering; and Mr. Makoto Takeda, Manager of Education Affairs Division, Section Chief of International Relations Section.
The signing of the Student Exchange Agreement has the objectives of (1) promoting inbound and outbound student exchanges, (2) internships, and (3) granting scholarships for exchange students at the undergraduate and graduate levels between the two universities.
In addition, a delegation from Kasetsart University visited Eikokuji Campus and Kami Campus, two main campuses of Kochi University of Technology, and visited laboratories such as Research Institute for Future Design, Intelligent Informatics Laboratory, Intelligent Robotics Laboratory, Forest, Resource Biology and Nano cleanroom.
On this occasion, Professor Masahiko ISOBE, President of Kochi University of Technology, expressed his gratitude for this visit of KU and will support the strengthening and continuation of educational cooperation between the two universities. After that, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat stated that Kasetsart University is committed to working closely with Kochi University of Technology to develop activities that are mutually beneficial and appreciates the continued cooperation.
In the afternoon of that day, Dr. Chongrak Wachrinrat, the President, together with the Vice President of Sriracha Campus and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Sriracha Campus paid a courtesy call on Professor Dr. Katsutoshi Sakurai, President of Kochi University, which is a partner institute of Kasetsart University. which has a relationship and activities together for a long time.
