November 15, 2023 – The team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Patamaporn Sripadungtham, Vice Dean for International Affairs, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wilasinee Yuchatchaval, Head of the Environmental Engineering Department. The purpose of the visit was to meet with the executives of Gunma University, including Prof. Osamu Hanaizumi, Prof. Mitsuo OZAWA, Prof. Takako Ochi, and Prof. Keiichi KUBOTA from the Faculty of Science and Technology. Discussions revolved around academic collaboration and environmental engineering research, including student exchange initiatives for collaborative research lasting three months with research funding. Additionally, discussions covered the Ph.D. Double Degree Program with scholarship support, including internships for students.
On the same day, the management team met with Dr. Masaru Kurihara, Toray Industries, Inc. consultant, and Prof. Akihiko Wakai from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Gunma University to discuss engineering collaboration and environmental research, particularly in the application of membranes for water reuse. The visit also included a tour of the environmental research laboratory and concrete laboratory after the discussions were concluded.
