On July 31, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, led by Dean Professor Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, along with senior university administrators including Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. rer. soc. Supapatpimol Simlee, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and Associate Professor Dr. Nisa Leksungnoen, Assistant to the President for Research and Internationalization, welcomed Professor Ben Young, Vice President (Student and Global Affairs) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) at the conference room, 50th Anniversary Administration Building.
The discussion focused on establishing academic collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in engineering. Key topics included joint curriculum development, student and staff exchanges, and collaborative research, especially in advanced technologies such as AI.
PolyU, a leading university in Hong Kong ranked 57th in the QS World University Rankings 2025, has over 28,000 students and is renowned for research and innovation. This collaboration presents a significant opportunity for the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, to enhance the quality of education and research to international standards.
Both parties will coordinate to discuss further details and plan for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the near future. The Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, is committed to leveraging this opportunity to advance Thai engineering education to an international level.
