Dantec Dynamics & AM Acoustic Donate EduPIV – World-Class Flow Analysis Technology to KU Engineering

Dantec Dynamics A/S, a global leader in flow measurement technology, and AM Acoustic Co., Ltd. have generously donated an EduPIV (LED-Based Educational Particle Image Velocimetry System) worth 850,000 THB to support mechanical engineering laboratory courses.

Official Handover CeremonyThe handover ceremony took place on February 11, 2025, at Building 6, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University. The event was attended by:Receiving the donation: • Professor Dr. Wanchai Yodsujai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering • Associate Professor Dr. Weerachai Chaiworapuek, Head of the Department of Mechanical EngineeringRepresenting the donors: • Mr. Jean Stefanini, Distributed Sales Manager, Dantec Dynamics A/S • Mr. Apinan Chaumchaisiri, Managing Director, AM Acoustic Co., Ltd.

What is PIV? Why is it Crucial for Mechanical Engineering?

Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) is an advanced technique used to analyze fluid flow by capturing images of tracer particles suspended in a fluid and processing them with sophisticated software. This enables highly detailed and accurate visualization of flow patterns.

PIV technology is widely used in cutting-edge research, including:✅ Aerodynamic studies in aerospace engineering✅ Thermal management and cooling system design for engines✅ Innovation in energy technology for industrial applications.

This hands-on experience will equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the ever-evolving engineering landscape.
