

On May 29, 2025, Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, participated in the official delegation led by Dr. Damrong Sripraram, Acting President of Kasetsart University, to Huaqiao University in the People’s Republic of China. The purpose of the visit was to attend the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony and foster academic cooperation between the two institutions.
Held at Reception Room 2003 in the Administration and R&D Building of Huaqiao University, the MOU signing marked the establishment of the “Joint Institute for Bio-based Materials.” In addition to Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, the KU delegation included Asst. Prof. Dr. Krit Won-in, Vice President for Innovations and Social Missions; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanchai Pluempanupat, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Asst. Prof. Dr. Thongrob Ruenbanthoeng, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatuwit Keawsuwan, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Humanities.
Prof. Dr. Wu Jianping, President of Huaqiao University, presided over the ceremony and co-signed the MOU. Key Huaqiao University representatives in attendance included Mr. Tu Wei, Director of the Chinese Language and Culture Education Office; Mr. Chen Aizheng, Dean of the College of Chemical Engineering; Prof. Dr. Tian Hui, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Technology; and Mrs. Han Jiachen, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. Following the signing, both parties exchanged commemorative tokens and took group photographs.




KU Delegation Supports Students at Dragon Boat World Championship 2025
On May 30, 2025, the KU delegation, led by Dr. Damrong Sripraram and including Prof. Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, attended the “Quanzhou Maritime Silk Road Dragon Boat World Championship 2025” held in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, to support student athletes from KU’s Paddle Club.
Also present to encourage the team were KU coaches and staff, including Acting Second Lieutenant Dr. Amnuay Tanphanich (Faculty of Sports Science and Health), Asst. Prof. Dr. Theeranan Tanphanich, and Ms. Sudawan Wutichat (Faculty of Education and Development Sciences). The event featured 19 KU student athletes and offered them a rich opportunity to engage with Chinese cultural heritage while strengthening KU’s global presence through sport.
Huaqiao University Hosts “Thai Student Cultural Study Tour” for KU Students
From May 21 to June 2, 2025, Huaqiao University welcomed KU students as part of the “Thai Student Cultural Study Tour,” a program supported in honor of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China.
A total of 28 KU students participated, including 19 from the Paddle Club and 9 from the Bachelor of Arts in Business Chinese program, Faculty of Humanities. The tour aimed to deepen students’ Chinese language skills and cultural appreciation through immersive experiences. Kasetsart University expresses its heartfelt thanks to Huaqiao University for its generous support and dedication to fostering international understanding and academic exchange.
